Hello world, I still exist

Hello friends. It’s been awhile.

Actually, it hasn’t been “awhile.” It’s been two years. Yikes. Back when I wrote my last post I had just graduated high school and was about to start my first year of college. I ended up putting my photography business on the back burner for a bit so I could enjoy “the college experience.” It’s been real, but I’m ready to get back to focusing on what I love doing the most — photographing seniors!

I have a lot of things in store for this fall and I”m so excited to share them with you! Starting with the beautiful new design of my website. I’m in love!

And incase you were wondering what I did with my life the past two years instead of blog (and because what good is a blog post without a few photos?) I’ve compiled the following list of excuses:

19 things I did the past 2 years instead of blog (in Instagrams):

Summer Sunflowers | Versailles KY Senior Photographer

Oh gosh, where to I begin with this post? First off I want to give a HUGE thanks to Allie and Ellen. Both of them are so fun and are always willing to try anything. Over the past few years they have been nothing short of amazing willing to chase around snakes, donkeys, and chickens, they have wallpapered an entire garage with newspaper, battled the freezing temperatures in rainy December weather, and driven with me to the middle of no where just to take photos. I don’t know how I am going to survive without them next year!

Ellen (who is also one of senior reps this year) and Allie, were the *perfect* people to give the sunflower field a test run. I have never been to a more perfect photo location in my life! Another HUGE thanks to Susie Stivers who owns the field for letting us come out and shoot. She is starting her own “Sunflower Sisters” blog which I will definitely share more about when she gets everything finalized. It’s going to be awesome!

One thing that I love about Ellen is that she always wears the greatest clothes. The night before I told her to bring “Something hippie like. But not a dress. And not too hippie.” Those were horrible directions. (Whoopsies…) Yet somehow she managed to find the perfect outfit.

Allie said that the reason she got this dress was because of the Kip Moore song “Somethin’ ‘Bout a Truck.” haha.  So of course we had to take a few with this truck.

Thanks again girls!

Nerf Gun, Crowbar, and a Torch | Versailles KY Senior Photographer

So I’m about nine months late posting these, sorry for that little delay, but better late then never! When Sean first told me he was bringing a torch, Nerf gun, and crowbar to his session I’ll admit I was a little skeptical. But it happened. And it turned out awesome. (Also no one was set on fire so that was a plus.)

Thanks again Sean for dealing with my torch lighting paranoia and best of luck next year in DC!
